Short answer: pick a walk with a clear goal. The Worcestershire Beacon from the Beacon Road car parks is short and gentle. British Camp has ramparts to explore. Giant’s Cave is a tiny cave cut into the rock. Keep walks short, bring layers for the windy tops, and plan around the toilets at British Camp car park or the café at St Ann’s Well.

- British Camp’s ramparts: rings of banks and ditches from an Iron Age fort.
- Giant’s Cave, a tiny man-made cave in the rock south of British Camp.
- Malvern water running from the carved spout at St Ann’s Well. Untreated spout water should be boiled before drinking.
Pushchairs
Most hill paths are steep, uneven or stepped and are not suitable for pushchairs. The Malvern Hills Trust provides two easier-access trails, from Black Hill and Earnslaw Quarry car parks, for pushchairs and people with limited mobility. See accessible routes.
Safety
Toilets and snacks
British Camp car park has disabled toilets, a refreshment kiosk and a pub/restaurant, according to the Malvern Hills Trust. The café at St Ann’s Well is on the path up from Great Malvern. There is nothing on the ridge itself, so bring water and snacks.
