Who we are
Malvern Hills Guide (malvern-hills.co.uk) is published by Simply Quote Comparison Ltd, the data controller for this website. We are registered in England and Wales (company number 15008284) and with the Information Commissioner’s Office (registration ZB659587). Registered office: Sentinel House, Ancells Business Park, Harvest Crescent, Fleet, Hampshire, GU51 2UZ.
What we collect
This is a static website with no user accounts and no forms that store personal data. If you email us, we use your email only to reply.
Analytics
We use a privacy-friendly analytics service (). It does not use cookies or collect personal data, and it counts visits and clicks in aggregate.
Third-party services
- Weather: the weather page requests a forecast for a fixed point on the hills from Open-Meteo, either through our server or directly from your browser. Your location is not sent.
- Maps: interactive maps load map tiles from OpenFreeMap when you open them. Like any website, the tile server sees your IP address.
- “Locate me” on maps: only runs if you press it and allow it. Your location stays in your browser.
- External links: booking and business websites have their own privacy policies. Affiliate links may let the merchant know you came from us.
Storage in your browser
The weather page keeps the latest forecast in your browser’s session storage for 15 minutes so it loads faster. It is cleared when you close the tab.
Your rights and contact
You can ask what personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@malvern-hills.co.uk or writing to us at the registered office above. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
