The crossing of the A449 at Wynds Point, below the British Camp hillfort. It is the best position for the central and southern hills, though there is no station.

Walking from British Camp

British Camp is straight up from the road, with the ridge south to Midsummer Hill and north along Jubilee Drive to the Wyche. There is no station, and no bus currently stops here, so you will need a car or a taxi.

The A449 crosses the ridge at Wynds Point, right below British Camp. If you want to step out of the door and onto the hills, this is the place, particularly for the quieter southern end of the range.

The trade-off is transport. There is no station, and current bus timetables show no service stopping at British Camp, so plan on driving. The villages a short drive away, including Colwall and Malvern Wells, widen the choice of accommodation.
