Jubilee Drive (the B4232) runs along the western, Herefordshire side of the hills. It was built and named for Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee in 1887.
Above the road, the Malvern Hills Trust maintains a path about 1.5 km long from the Wyche Cutting to Gardiner’s Quarry car park. It has a gentle gradient, so it is one of the easiest ways to enjoy the views west over Herefordshire towards the Welsh hills. The surface is rough and narrow in places, and the Trust says it is not suitable for wheelchairs. Walkers have priority on the path, and horse riding is restricted there.
With several car parks strung along the road, Jubilee Drive is also a convenient starting point for the central summits: Jubilee Hill, Pinnacle Hill and Black Hill.
