Earnslaw Quarry is an old quarry beside the road up to the Wyche Cutting. Its floor is now a Malvern Hills Trust car park with a small lake, which makes it one of the easiest places to see the rocks the hills are made of.
The Earth Heritage Trust describes the faces as coarse pink granite of the Precambrian Malverns Complex, with diorite to the north on the other side of a fault zone. There is also a trachyte dyke, which it describes as the only intrusion of its kind in the Malverns Complex, and a rare rock called pyroxenite.
The car park is the start of one of the Trust’s easier-access trails for pushchairs and people with limited mobility. See accessible routes.

Pay-and-display car park on Wyche Road, close to Worcestershire Beacon and Summer Hill.
Charges: £6.50 per day (valid in any Malvern Hills Trust car park that day), or £3.75 after 6pm. Blue Badge holders free. (checked Sept 2026)
