Malvern Hills parking guide

Short answer: for the highest summit, park at the Beacon Road car parks at Upper Wyche. For British Camp, use the British Camp car park on the A449. For North Hill, use North Quarry. Most hill car parks are run by the Malvern Hills Trust, and one day ticket covers all of them.

Charges (from 1 April 2026)

The Malvern Hills Trust publishes these charges for its pay-and-display car parks:

• Day ticket: £6.50, valid in any Trust car park on the day you buy it. Park at Beacon Road in the morning and British Camp in the afternoon on the same ticket.
• Evening: £3.75 after 6pm.
• Blue Badge holders park free.
• Annual pass: £59 for 12 months (£30 for a second vehicle in the same household), valid in all Trust car parks. Reduced passes are available to levy-paying local residents.
• Most machines take cards only. The British Camp, North Quarry and Upper Beacon Road machines also take cash.
• No overnight parking in Trust car parks.
• Rangers patrol the car parks. The Trust’s published penalty charge is £40, reduced to £20 if paid within 7 days.

Which car park for which hill?

Worcestershire Beacon

The Upper and Lower Beacon Road car parks at Upper Wyche give the easiest ascent, by a surfaced path to the summit. Earnslaw Quarry is close by on the Wyche road.

British Camp and the southern hills

The British Camp car park at Wynds Point has toilets and food, and it is the start for the hillfort. Black Hill and Little Malvern are close alternatives. For Swinyard Hill and Gullet Quarry use Swinyard, and for Midsummer and Ragged Stone hills use Hollybush.

North Hill and the northern end

North Quarry on North Malvern Road is the usual start for North Hill, End Hill and Table Hill. It is also where the mountain-bike trails begin.

Tips for busy days

• On sunny weekends and bank holidays, the most popular car parks fill by late morning. Arrive early, or head for a quieter car park on Jubilee Drive or West Malvern Road.
• Pub and café car parks are for customers. Ask before leaving your car while you walk.
• Every car park page lists a postcode for sat nav, taken from the Malvern Hills Trust map.
