The station is at the foot of the town. The Malvern Hills Trust’s “Route to the Hills” trail leads from the station up through the town to the hillside. From there, St Ann’s Well and the Worcestershire Beacon are a steady climb.
West Midlands Railway runs services to Birmingham New Street via Worcester Foregate Street, and to Hereford. Great Western Railway runs to London Paddington via the Cotswold Line and Oxford, with some trains to Hereford and Bristol Temple Meads. Frequencies vary: check National Rail.

The classic climb from the town: past the Priory and St Ann’s Well to the toposcope on the highest point of the Malverns, and back down.
A short, steep stroll from the town centre up to St Ann’s Well, the 1813 spring house with a café, on the way to the Worcestershire Beacon.
Start at the Priory, climb steeply through the woods to the ridge and follow it south over the central hills to the British Camp hillfort.
The two highest summits in one loop: North Hill, Sugarloaf Hill and the Worcestershire Beacon from North Quarry car park, returning on lower paths.
