We want this site to work for everyone, whatever device or assistive technology you use.
What we aim for
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. The site is built from plain, semantic HTML and works without JavaScript. It supports keyboard navigation with visible focus, respects reduced-motion settings, and uses colours chosen for contrast.
Maps
Every map has a text alternative. Walk pages list the route points in order, and the map page lists every summit, car park, viewpoint and walk as plain links. Interactive maps only load if you ask for them.
Accessible walks
For routes on the hills themselves, see accessible routes. We only list a route as accessible when an official source describes it that way.
Known limitations
Interactive map tiles come from a third party and may not be fully accessible. Use the lists instead.
