Link Lodge The charming little town of Malvern, clinging on to the side of the famous hills has been particularly popular since the Victorians developed it as an elegant Spa resort.

People still come to drink the pure water and walk on the beautiful hills, and it is well situated for the tourist between the Cotswolds and Wales.

The surrounding countryside is some of the prettiest and least spoilt that England has to offer, and it was this beauty which inspired the famous English composer, Sir Edward Elgar

Link Lodge, which has connections with Edward Elgar, is an elegant Grade II listed building.

It was originally built during the reign of Queen Anne (circa 1700) and was extended during the Georgian period by a local architect in the Palladian style.

It has four very interesting rooms with curved walls, and also a large curved staircase, plus many other interesting architectural features.

Hall

The landscaped gardens of one acre contain a variety of large and unusual trees and allow for unwinding at the end of the day - or a game of croquet on the lawn for the slightly more energetic.

The house and garden have beautiful views across a tree lined common to the Malvern Hills, a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Dining Room The house is decorated to a very high standard and is comfortable and welcoming. Breakfast is taken in the large farmhouse style kitchen. Usually cooked on the Aga, except on the hotter days of Summer, the high quality food appeals to all tastes and appetites.

Most rooms are en-suite and all rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, clock radio, hairdryer, and television. A trouser press, iron etc are all available on request. An extensive library of local interest books, maps, leaflets are available for guests use.

Link Lodge is very conveniently situated with restaurants, pubs, shops, trains and buses within a couple of minutes walk. It is also very close to the home of the hand built Morgan sports car which welcomes visitors to its work, and the Three Counties Showground is only about ten minutes drive away. It has plenty of off-road parking and is a non-smoking establishment.

Malvern Map

Directions: Leave the M5 at junction 7 (Worcester South) and travel to the first roundabout in the direction of Worcester. Then follow the signs to Malvern on the A449. About seven miles further on, after a series of roundabouts and an open country stretch of road, you will arrive at the Madresfield approach to Malvern (you are then at the bottom right hand corner of the map above).

Cross over the roundabout, straight through two sets of traffic lights (the second of which has a Barclays Bank on the right-hand corner), pass through one pedestrian crossing then take the first left opposite a large Ford garage.  Link Lodge is the first house on the left. If however, you are approaching Link Lodge from the other end of Pickersleigh Road (shown BLUE on the map above),  please be aware that the name of this road changes at the Morgan Motor Company and it is necessary to take a left turning there to stay on Pickersleigh Road.
